Noch 2 Monate // Tipps für ein gelungenes Auslandsjahr

Die Zeit fliegt ,hm ?

Um ehrlich zu sein hab ich garnicht großartig viel zu sagen, außer vielleicht dass man aus seinen fehlern lernt und mit ihnen wächst.

Tipps für euer Auslandsjahr :

Memorybook : Ein buch in dem ihr eure freunde und familie BEVOR dem jahr reinschreiben lasst, während dem Jahr reinschreibt und gegen ende eure Amerikanischen Freunde reinschreiben lasst.
(Mache ich nochmal einen seperaten Blogpost drüber)


Kamera: Handy Kamera schön und gut aber es ärgert mich wieviele bilder so krass verpixelt sind deswegen. Hatte am anfang eine sony Cybershot (Digital Kamera). War auch sehr zufrieden,ist dann aber kaputt gegangen. Mache momentan Bilde rmit der Canon rebel t3i (Canon eos 600). Hab ich hier sehr günstig ersteigert und glaubt mir : Bilder sind das A und O.

Die richtige Einstellung: Der anfang ist schwer. Schule ist befremdlich, sprache ist neu und die leute noch nie im leben gesehen...da kann man sich schnell mal am falschen platz fühlen. Mutig sein, sich in schul aktivitäten involvieren und vorallem nicht andauernd am Telefon hängen udn nach hause texten.
Ok und noch eins, weil das kann ich einfach garnicht ab : IHR REPRESENTIERT EUER LAND , benehmt euch auch dementsprechend.


Familie: Ich weiss dass wird am Vorbereitungsabend/woche nie wirklich so gesagt ,aber glaubt mir Einer aus 5 hat probleme mit der Familie. Manchmal passt es einfach nicht . macht nicht den fehler und wartet zu lange sondern redet mit der familie (schritt eins ), dann korrdinator und wenn es wirklich nicht mehr geht wechselt ! und sich nicht wohl zufühlen ist ein grund zu wechseln !!!
 Dennoch sollte man versuchen sich einzubringen, spülmaschine ausräumen,abends fernseh schauen mit der familie und immer anbieten selbe rzu zahlen (!!).

Schule : Zurückblickend ..... wenn euere Noten nicht nach deutschland "überschrieben" werden, dann macht euch nicht zu arg den Kopf drum. Euer auslandsjahr ist wichtiger als 4 stunden Hausaufgaben (wa snicht heisst ihr sollt nicht euer zeug erledigen!)
Probiert neue Fächer aus !!
- ceramics absolut geil !!
- Anatomy ...bissl eklig aber wer bio mag, hammer !


 Sprache : Viel lesen hilft am besten. Fernsehen und Filme tuens auch ;)

Ziele : Sich persöhnliche Ziele übers Jahr verteilt zu setzen kann wirklich sehr helfen das Jahr durch zustehen. Ich wollte mich besser kennen lernen , schelchte angewohnheiten hinter mir lassen und mich neu ausprobieren : Jetzt ist zeit für neue Haarfarben und crazy clothes.

Gewicht: Ok ok ich hab zwar am anfang von jahr gesagt ich hab arg abgenommen ,hab ich auch ....aber gleich nachdem meine Cheer season rum war dann auch mal schöne 10 kilo zugenommen. Und ich schwöre ich esse gesund haha. Aber juckt mich jetzt nicht so ... ist einmal im leben ,das ist dann schon ok lol

Freunde: Lasst euch von euer Organisation nicht einreden andere austauschüler seien nicht der richtige "umgang". Meine beste freundin ist von Norwegen und sie ist definitiv nicht nur meine beste freundin, weil sie austauschülerin ist. Ihr dürft nie vergessen, dass in euerem "erwählten land "  alle leute ihren freundeskreis schon haben ,deshalb muss man manchmal wirklich akriv daran arbeiten freunde .zu finden. Was eigentlich sehr einfach ist weil egrade am anfang ist man ja "frisch fleisch" und wird regelrecht umzingelt. Aber glaubt mir die anderen ATSler verstehen euch am besten ,weil diese sitzen im selben boot :D



Und BILDER BILDER BILDER !!! Am besten videos, aber das hab ich irgendwie nicht wirklich gemacht lol. Schnappt euch nen freund oder ne freundin und dann wird los geklippst.

Bilder sind am ende das was bleibt und bitte speichert es drei, vier , fünf mal ab. Hab vorübergehend meien SD karte verschlampt und war am Ende. (Habs sie hinterm Kühlschrank dann wieder gefunden . Kein Kommentar)

Team Dinner- Varsity Letter

Ok before i start talking about JV (Junior Varsity) and V (varsity) i quick clearify those terms:

When you make the tryout for a sport team you haven't neccesarry qualified for Varsity ,which is basicially the school team which goes on games and can qualify for state etc.
JV is the team where the players aren't quite as good and need preparation for becoming a varsity team member.
The diffrence is that varsty letters ,JV dosen't.

"To letter" means that you get a letter for finnishing the season and then you cant sew those on your Lettermanjacket (Highschool jacke ).


Alright after several months i got my Varsity letter for cheerleading.
In form of a team dinner we went to Cool springz a trampoline park and went out and eat at hooters afterwards. Man those girls must get great tips depending on how short their shorts are probably A LOT. haha.


Anyways i wanted to share some pictures.

Spring Break 2k15

My first and probably last American Spring Break and you probably expect crazy partys in swimming pools, climbing the roofs and stuff but oh well thats not quite the truth ;D

Spring Break (Frühlings Ferien) is mostly in the month of March-April and can be from one week up to 3 weeks long. Depends on the State and school district.

Alright let's put the idea of crazy Paries by side and i'll tell you about my spring break which was from the 28.03-07.04.2015.My family took me to the white sands and the carlsbad caverns both statepark/Nationalparks.WhiteSands National Park describes itself pretty good. Its a desert made out of white sand. To be correct the sand comes from an old lake which produces white crystalzes. Their christalz have become sand over the time . The material is called gypsum.

It was pretty impressing especially since i've never seen a desert before ! People surfed down the hills and for sure i took pictures with my new camera :)

I don't know whether you can tell or not but i drew  "NM" annitals in there for "new Mexico".

We drove to Carlsbad right after we#ve been visting the white sands. 
Carlsbad is known for their cave(s). Those underground wonders were so overwhelming the literally took my breath away. Those caves are a national monument and also known for their bat flights in the summer (which i coulndt see because they're taking a winter break down at the sunny Mexico).
At first you can't really tell that up that hill is something which could be so impressing and beautiful nut the you drive all the way up to the top of that hill, buy a ticket and walk to a (compared) little hole in the middle of nowhere when all the sudden you stand right inside a wonderland.

You seriously can't tell till you're actually in there.
Outside,right around that hole, they have an amphie theathre for watching the bats in summmer when they flyout to go and hunt. Those flight last up to an hour and you can watch them flying outside. Unfortunately, as i said, are those little guys on vocation.  Chickens because it had moderate 70.F down there.

Atlantis, i swear.

The caves conserve themselves with satying at a moderate temperature level.

Standing in there feels like as if you'd stuck in another time period . 

And (my friends know that but...) a lot of movies have been filmed down there and they actually took sceneries for creating and drawing atlatis, my absolute second favourte movies ,from there. I was so excited because you could really tell !

Standing there made me realize that there is so much out there which is more important. Who cares about a bad grade or messed up hair or weight gain (!!! ;'''D)

No seriously, it was amazing and unfortunatley i could'nt really put it on a picure  but i swear it was.
 On our way home we made a stop at state park which showed the animals and plants of New Mexico.
